Expectations are the one of the main cause of sadness. Often we expect more from any relationship, this relation may be of any kind like daughter, son , father or girlfriend. Sometime parents expect more from their son when he can't do as they think they disappointed. Let us suppose a son expect from his parents that they will give him a play station on his birthday, but they give him a mobile. In this condition he will be disappointed because he expect more from his parents. If he expects nothing in this condition if he got mobile he will feel great, and this became surprise for him.
Hence we can say that where expectations are more, surprises are less.If you want to get surprised, please don't expect anything.
